My senior cat (approx 14 yrs old) buddy has been throwing up a few xs a day for the past few or so days. Hes mostly throwing up a dark brown liquid & his diet is mostly dry cat food. I do give him some tuna time to time. Hes currently under the covers on my bed. I did change the brand of dry cat food not long ago due to being broke.
HELP!
You need to take your cat to the vet. There are many possibilities. Nobody on an internet forum is going to be able to tell you what is wrong with your cat.
Most worrisome at this point would be dehydration from the vomiting.
steel7 - I echo the others -- vet appointment is necessary. The cause of the vomiting may or may not be a serious matter, but the vomiting is. Cats can dehydrate quickly which is a serious health risk.
Once the problem is diagnosed and your kitty is recovering, you may want to consider switching to the healthier canned food. Dry food 1) contains far too many indigestibles (grains and veggie fibers), 2) most of its proteins come from the grains/veggies rather than from meats, and 3) doesn't have the moisture necessary. Cats are strict carnivores and get their nutrition and moisture from a meat diet (they don't have the same thirst mechanism that dogs and humans have).
Please come back and post and let us know how your kitty is doing!
Time for the vet, and then, small amounts of food, wet, feed kitty 5 or 6 times a day. Very small amounts at a time.
