Molly liked ham. Either of my cats never cared for tuna though.

Mr. Butts our beloved now deceased black tuxedo kitty, he loved to eat Cheetos! Buffy, now also deceased liked orange sherbert which was strange cuz she too was the color of orange sherbert.

We have two adopted kitties now..Doris who is a Russian Blue and gorgeous, she eats ice cream, cream cheese, cookies..quite a character. Lily who is fairly new to us doesn't seem to have any strange likes that we can tell just yet.

Exactly what I was going to post! I had a cat who loved pretzels! I've had so many cats over the years who have each had food preferences, but the one who had a pretzel addiction is the one that sticks out to me as "the strangest".

I, too, think it was the salt but he was the only cat I've had who seemed to be addicted to salt.

I have never heard that. I had a male cat who was predisposed to UTI and my vet told me to salt his food to make him drink more water so he would pee more often. He's the same cat I mentioned in another post who LOVED pretzels. I think it was the salt he liked and since my vet had told me to salt his food, I let him have the pretzels when he wanted them.

Princess Pea has discovered herb spice popcorn. She was trying to eat her way into the bag when hubby stopped sharing with her.

My cat in his old age is increasing the kinds of foods he likes that I'd never thought he would go near with a ten foot pole. Of course he likes all dairy (cheeses, ice cream, yogurt), like most of us do even though, contrary to what the Diary growers assn says ("Milk it does a body good") is terrible for all of our health -- except for baby cows. He's always loved cooked broccoli with butter and goat cheese sauce.

Lately though he's been eating things like alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, celery with salad dressing. I even made some coconut almond yogurt with coconut meat, coconut milk, sprouted almonds, probiotics, stevia and a date all blended and fermented. He liked it plain and later when I made it into a smoothie with blueberries and a frozen banana he loved it.

My first cat loved vinegary things like dill pickles and olives. He would turn his nose up at a shrimp but would go for an olive every time.

(Yes, I know salt is bad for kitties. It was extremely rare - perhaps once a year - that he would get one of these treats.)

My son's cat is weird. He won't eat meat like chicken or steak, but he'll eat chicken or steak wet cat food with the gravy on it.

As for strange food, we recently discovered he likes Wheat Thins. They have to be broken into a few pieces, but he'll eat every last crumb.

My cat Cam loves spaghetti. I have had quite a few over the years that loved the smell of pickles and rubbed up to jars of green olives as well. Cam freaks out also over the smell of menthol. We noticed it years ago when we were chewing on Halls. He took the wrapper and rolled all over the floor with it. It must be like an aphrodisiac.
