I had a tiger male cat that I taught tricks by giving him his adored alfalfa pills. He ate grass and we found that he loved the taste of alfalfa human supplement pills. It was funny to see him rolling over and walking on his back feet to get a treat.
When she was young I of course didn't want to give her anything with Lactose in it as they say most cats are intolerant (even though she used to ask for it whenever DH or I had ice cream / milk & cereal, etc). My Mother In Law however said that one of her cats wasn't lactose intolerant so if she was asking for it, may as well let her try....
And she's definitely NOT lactose intolerant.
Of course she's already a chubby baby so the above foods are only a tiny bit, and only once in a while things for her
One of my cats loves Doritos. He is always around if you open a bag. I dont know if he craves them though. Its not like he whines until you go to the store and get him some.
My kitten steals pretzels. If I take a few and put them down while reading, he will pop up and snitch one. He has 2 thumbs on his front paws and I've helped him learn how to use them as opposable thumbs.
It's the only food he snitches. It could be the salt. He comes running when he hears the canister pop open.
oh olives yes, yes, yes and bagged taco's....need to be very careful with any of this stuff folks, salt isn't good for cats!!!!
oh forgot peanut butter too -)
Anymore my cat wants a lick off just about any plate I put down within her reach. She'll try just about anything. These plates are empty with only minor bits of residue to lick and no chunks of anything to eat.
Dairy is always a favorite though, ice cream, that's the one she really is hoping was in that bowl.
Also I can get her to eat a bit of tortilla chip sometimes, and we had another cat that would eat those too. That other cat would actually react to the bag of chips kind of like a treat bag.
