I really, really wish people wouldn't allow cats and birds to interact. Cats carry a bacteria that can easily kill a bird from even the smallest scratch...the cat doesn't have to purposely attack the bird to cause injury or death.

Yes, I was thinking that, too. The cat looks possibly declawed, though. But I think it's in their mouths also, isn't it?

Yes, they carry it in their saliva. Since they groom themselves, they can also infect the bird through scratches (or attempting to groom the bird) as well.
