I'd take the washable bedding to the laundrymat and run it through the big extractor washers they have. That will definitely centrifuge out all of the liquid and all the odor should be gone after that. I use Tide soap.

The mattress, I would probably replace. And I would encase the new one in a plastic waterproof mattress cover, and I'd keep a big plastic dropcloth or similar over the bed at all times except when company comes.

The best enzyme product I have found is Ceva's Urine-Out, for about $50/gallon. It really gets rid of cat odor. But it has a perfumy odor all its own and i wouldn't want that in a mattress. Maybe a car detailer can suggest some product that works but doesn't leave a different odor behind.

Well some good news this morning. SO has caught the cat that has been harassing Kitty Katty the whole time we have had him.

I feel so bad for her and I worry about what to do with her. I think I may call the rescue. She is a beautiful little kitty and she is scared to pieces.

I just messaged the rescue for their advice. Maybe they will take her, I don't know.

Kitty seems to be doing fine this morning but I am going to take him in anyway just to be on the very safe side.
