This is such a sweet story. Kudos to the parents for teaching this child how love and care can save a tiny life.

<sniff> What a sweet story. I wish more families would do this. Save a animal and teach kids to be loving, empathetic and responsibility. Thanks for sharing Kudzu.

Your heat just melts reading the story and looking at the pics. Her parents are teaching her great values and she has a cherished friend. Thank you for posting!

This was hard for me to see, because it reminded me of our dear Beau, also rescued as a kitten, when my daughter was 3 years old. Beau was her constant companion for 17 years. And two years ago, he went to the rainbow. She was heartbroken. And still talks about him, frequently. It was so sad, they just don't live long enough.

This was my daughter's first real experience with grief, and she cried, it was sad for me to see her in so much pain. She still tears up about him.

Sorry to add a downer to this story. But, it will end, just like Beau...
