Everyone may already know this, but the first annual Kitten Bowl will be on Sunday morning (Feb 2) at 11:00 CST on the Hallmark Channel. I haven't missed a single year of the Puppy Bowls, and always enjoyed the little kitty half-time shows a lot. Somebody finally decided to do a full Bowl for us cat lovers & it's about time! If it's anything like the Puppy Bowl, then it should be worth watching.
May not be everyone's cup of tea, but thought I'd throw it out here anyway.
They were adorable. I love dogs and cats equally, but I watched the kittens for about a half hour, and I turned the puppies off after a minute or so. They just weren't as entertaining. Don't tell my dog friends!
Now, this is funny. Jasper never really notices the tv, today, when the kitten bowl was on, he was watching the screen for a few minutes, jumped up to see it closer. He moved his head, checking out those kittens flying around, and the track with the balls on it. He watched a few minutes...then left when the commentators were on....less commentators, more kitten action!
I thought they did a pretty decent job with it. I could watch kittens playing literally for hours, but the way they organized it into 'teams' made it even better. I actually found myself getting sort of caught up in it and rooting for one team or the other. There was also a lot of messaging about adopting pets from shelters, and trying to get people interested in cats/kittens in general. Good entertainment and a worthwhile message IMO. Looking forward to next years for sure.

I felt the opposite. The kittens pretty much sat there moving their heads side to side. The puppies stole my heart. Much more action. Since I only watched each of them for about 5 minutes, I must have missed the cutest kitten action.
