Thanks, Guys. The funny part is, our 3 are being great about him being here, it is him being hissy and spitty. But that seems to be lessening as the day wears on.
No, I asked my Son last night if he had a name yet and he said he wanted to wait to see the sex of the cat first, then he would chose one. I suggested Ralph, but he didn't like that one !
When I called my Sons to give them the good news they were both as happy as I am. With this poor kitty living outdoors with an unknown history, I just had the fear that the news would not be good. But it was !!!!!!!!!!!
Here are some pictures I just took. Sure doesn't look like the same scared, sickly kitty we found a few days ago, does he ?? Starting to gain weight (he weighs 1.2 pounds) and isn't boney like he was. Seems to be really enjoying walking around the living room, checking things out.

Chewy seems to be thinking "Oh, no, not ANOTHER cat around here !!!!!!!!"
What a cute devil and those intense gaze, its like she's saying "What are my pictures taken for!" lol. "Midnight" sounds lovely but if you're looking for more names "Onyx" "Smoky" "Casper" came to my mind
What a difference a few days of food and love can make. When I look back on this picture my Son took the night he found him, all I see is a very sad, dejected, scared little kitty. I hate to see any animal looking and feeling this way. His eyes say it all.
Haha, Chewy is being the best of the three, he is just acting normal, and not bothering the kitten at all. Lucky is still hiding behind my bathroom door, but Daisy is being not friendly at all. She is hissing and acting weird, which surprises me as she is such a mellow cat normally and not very old herself.
Chewy has always been good with other cats though. When we first got Lucky we were afraid to put Lucky down near Chewy because of Chewy being a male cat and not sure how he would be toward a little kitten. But he adopted Lucky as his own kitten from the first moment and you never saw one without the other. Chewy is really a very sweet cat that way.
This is Chewy with Lucky when Lucky was a kitten. We kept saying Chewy was his Daddy Cat because of the way he looked over Lucky.
So sweet! I wish my cats would cuddle like that. They closest they get is to curl up butt-to-butt. I guess I should be happy they're not ripping each others' fur out ... most of the time.

Certainly a big difference in body condition & demeanor. In those newest photos, he looks quite ready to start taking charge around there.
Love these happy endings.
