Or they work very hard to make us think they miss us.

Seriously though, I'm sure many cats do miss their humans when they're gone. When I was working mine slept most of the day, and would swamp me for attention during the evenings after work. They were never overly dramatic about my coming home though.

Cats miss their humans a lot, but they just don't get overly emotional about it, like a dog does, wearing their hearts on their sleeves. Lol.
