A cat/kitten walked into an Architects office and sorta took over, so I took him home. The principals name is a rather famous investor/entrepreneur/architect by the name of Nelson Skalbania, so I named him Nelson.
Nelson Skalbania. Didn't he once own the Edmonton Oilers and later the Indianapolis Racers when they were a part of the World Hockey Association?
Interesting choices. I heard of someone once who named their small dog Tyrion
One of my cats is named Rafa, after Rafael Nadal, the tennis player. Not that weird if you get the reference but most people don't.
Oh and my dad had a cat named Moose once!
When I got my first cat I wanted him to have a unique name so being he was a Siamese and I was a Vietnam vet I named him Ashau after the Ashau Valley in Vietnam. He passed away in September and I rescued 2 brothers from the local shelter in November and named them Laos after the country and Hue after the city in Vietnam.
Puppy - It was either that or a puppy named Kitten.
Weasie - She was a skinny, hyper, con artist; funny how well that name fit!
Blaliko - Named in honor of her distinctive tortoiseshell/calico coat. The "k" makes it Japanese. ("Ko" often ends a girl's name in Japan, the way "ette" does in French.)
Seteria - A childhood classmate was named this, and I'd never heard it since.

For the next 2, consider An Khe and Pleiku (two of my old stomping grounds).
