Have you heard of cats scratching at windows or other glass?? My cat incessantly scratches at the china cabinet, mirrors, and anything glass. Just like if she wants to go on the patio, but she goes 240! I think she's bright enough to know its not an outdoor outlet.. any ideas?

My Ziggy does that. He does it to the TV too. Drives us crazy ! We just end up yelling "hey" and then get up quickly and he ends up running off. I hope he never discovers the windows in my bedroom!

My new kitten does that to my mirror on the back of my door. However, he does this only when the door is closed. I'm thinking he probably wants out more than anything. But it could be the fact he sees his reflection too I guess.

She can probably see her reflection in the glass, and is putting up her dukes to defend her territory.

Silly cats! Mine scratch at the windows when our neighbor's cat is on the porch, or if there's anything interesting in the yard, like a squirrel or a rabbit (birds are not interesting enough to scratch at, apparently).

The other day a squirrel hopped up onto the porch furniture, which is directly under the window, and nonchalantly munched on a peanut. I though BoyKitty was going to lose his little cat mind. He was trying to climb the window -- to unlock it, maybe?

BoyKitty also scratches at the TV if he's watching Meerkat Manor or a hockey game.

My cat doesn't scratch glass, I wish she did, might be cheaper to replace. She has scratched up all the door posts in the house, so that I have to sand and repaint them all if I ever move!

My cat Guss scratches... well it's more of a paw pad thing... the door glass (french doors) to get in after an outing. It's funny to watch, as he seems almost to be in a trance when he does it.

My cat goes into a trance when she paws at the furniture or my clothing, anything that is hanging down low enough, she will paw at rhythmically, very odd.....
