I like the cat dancer, I found something similar. Why my cat is always attracted by unexpected and fast movements? Is the only way she wants to play. When she was younger she always wanted to play with me, I miss that.
Unfortunately different cats like different toys, and it's hard to know until you experiment and find what works for your cat-buddy. I've had cats go wild over little poofy floofballs from the craft store, Nimbus couldn't care less. He likes a toy that is basically a little fish with feathers on its tail, especially if I've let it sit in a bag of catnip a while. He enjoys throwing it in the air and catching it. He likes jingly balls, if I throw them. Not that he is going to bring them back to me or anything. Wand toys? Meh. Maybe for a little while, but he loses interest pretty fast. He likes strings ok, but again, loses interest more quickly than if we're rolling a jingle ball down the hallway. He likes to run!
(Disclaimer: Yes, I know that strings, like yarn, can be dangerous. I put them away in a secure drawer when we're not playing with them, he is never unsupervised with something like that.)
One likes the motorized spinning ball with the tail.. he even made friends with it lol. Needs batteries...
