Speaking of "favorite" chairs, I bought a new beautiful wingback for the living room. Guess who is always on it? And has made it her favorite scratching post. That spray stuff to keep them off furniture? Doesn't phase her!
So have to give swats or the spray bottle when she sinks her claws into the upholstery. Doesn't phase her....
She does as she pleases. I did get her one of those scratch rugs with a pocket in back for catnip. She does like that, AND still tries to scratch the new chair. She knows in her mind that chair is hers!
