from what I have learned today just dont spray wd 40 around them!!!!! Thats a sure death! Hey NJKates way too cool, I think she was just saying with the economy and all maybe the orginal poster did not want to say she is eating catfood herself!!!!
Thank you. Animals are a subject very near to my heart (and apparently yours as well!)
Yes, animals are a subject very near to my heart. And this OP really touched a nerve. I've seen so many cats abandoned and left to die. It's a painful subject.

With out knowing all the intimate details of one's life you just don't know.
Very true...the shelters are filling up because of the economy, people can no longer afford to care for their pets, the expense goes beyond just food.
Thankfully my kitties ages, 14 ish, 9 & 3 plus my dog, all rescues by the way, I can afford to take care of
That's true NJKate but since I had just read that other post by the OP about her doggy day care, I couldn't understand why she would need to get rid of her cats. The OP also said it was work/travel related.
I'm not a fan of people giving up their pets either but I'd rather they did if they can't give them a great life. Sounds like the OP doesn't want the cat left alone for that long...I can respect that. If we are away from the house more than 3 hrs..we panic..lol.

Lynee, I must confess I missed that!! But did go back and read after your post on it...If she is taking the dog to a kennel, I'm not fond of kennels for cats as the ones I've seen kep the cat caged all the time, she can more then likely get someone to come in every other day to take care of the cat. Clean the box and refill the food...they sleep most of the time when the humans are away anyway. Maybe even a teenager in her area, throw them a 10 or 20
