Jennifer and Jim kept getting huge water bills. They
knew beyond a doubt that the bills weren't representative of their
actual usage, and no matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills
continued. Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything
checked for leaks or problems: the water meter, outdoor pipes, indoor
pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc.,
all to no prevail.
One day Jim was sick and stayed home in bed, but kept
hearing water running downstairs. He finally got out of his sick bed
to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of the bills. Apparently
this was happening all day long when they were not at home.
Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a
segment of the 'problem' for posterity. Please see link below.
thats great...I have to watch my siamese...we changed the kitchen sink
handles...he would always turn the faucet on by rubbing up against the handles...so we got smaller ones...
I had a cat who taught himself to pee in the toilet. I replaced the toilet b/c I though it was backing up as it smelled so bad. Then I finally caught him in the act - he stood sideways on the seat and peed down into the bowl. There are actually articles about how to teach your cat to use the toilet and then flush it. Don't know about this cat, but it's not impossible!
