When my two little ones were kittens they were VERY loud. They finally out grew the being loud all the time and are only loud when the moment hits them. Like when they wake up and find themseleves without anybody around or want food or something out of the fridge.

If the kitty is crying REALLY LOUD and it's 2:30 in the morning and you're trying to sleep but this cat is louder than a super-sonic jet and he just will not stop and you're pretty sure the neighbors are going to start complaining, please get out of bed and check him. If he's just huge and has long, black fur and has a tag on his collar that says "Smokey Joe", then my cat has managed to unlock the dead-bolt and has invaded your house. He's probably wanting you to get out of your nice, warm bed immediately and go into the kitchen to get him a nice plate of salmon.

Please send him home.

After you've fed him.
