I was under the impression his wife wanted the divorce when it was announced.
I think Billy Ray just wants to be able to have parental say over Miley's antics. I get the feeling Trish is sort of like Lindsay Lohan's mom--very lenient!!
I think he's probably missed the fact that he isn't a big enough star for anyone to care either way. If he didn't happen to give birth to a child who did well in show business, he would be in one of those celebrity reality shows with half the viewers having no idea who he was.
If they can work it out, fine. But if this is an attempt to help get Miley on the right track then it's too late. Only she can have control over the choices she makes in her life now as an adult.
Billy Ray had eight top-ten singles and his debut album is still record breaking. I'm not an enormous fan but this is the man's marriage and family. I'm quite sure he doesn't care what anyone thinks, either.
Miley is almost entirely grown up now, and probably set in her ways whatever they be. I don't know if the divorce or lack thereof will have much effect.
Divorce does affect children whether grown or adult. At the end of the day it is cheaper to keep her. Not sure that he has a pre-nup and they have been together for a while.
Well it might be off for now. I am guessing in two years it will be on again.
