I don't blame him.

Just because he couldn't find the contract until recently, doesn't make it invalid. The fact that Sony didn't live up to a contract just because they weren't taken to task for it earlier, makes Sony look pretty shady, IMO.

If the contract stated that he should receive 15% of the merchandising proceeds......then he should get it.

Statute of limitations on a contract? That doesn't sound right to me. If there was a time limit involved, wouldn't that have been stated in the contract?

Morally, the money is due him, just as it was the Happy Days cast members as the article went on to talk about, but it probably won't happen.
My thought is..... to lose or misplace a contract of that magnitude was ludicrous in the first place.
Who would put it in a darn lunch box and forget it? Stupidity on that level alone almost makes it feel like an invalidation.

No one from the partridge family had a win fall from the show even though the show is still playing in reruns 41+ yrs later. The partridge family is still selling records & merchandise to this day. The cast members got screwed big time.
