She is White. Some posters seem to be searching for something that isn't there.
I'm tired of these no talented hacks getting pushed on us by the media. First Justin Beiber and now her. She isn't Black. Unless she believes it will give her album sales. I doubt she will be known by the end of the year.
I find it to be both absolutely hilarious and incredibly sad that someone like this Rita Ora, who IS black (i.e., is of mixed heritage that OBVIOUSLY includes black blood) is not considered black by American blacks. Its like if you dont talk a certain way, or act a certain way, then they say "oh she aint black".
The fact that she's extremely pretty, speaks Albanian (and probably other languages), speaks proper english, and sounds intelligent, they say "Oh she aint black". But if she were to appear on Basketball Wives hawking spit loogies, cussin', thowing bottles of beer, and saying "Im fenda", "Yall be...", "Im is...", I's my birfday yall..." or something similar, they would say and accept her as being black.
Look at her!!! She's Albanian, but she's black!!! Geez.
If you scroll to the bottom of the link you can see two photos of Rita with her parents. They are both Albanian. Rita is using lots of makeup to get the look she is trying to sport, but she's definitely Albanian.
I wish a person's race wouldn't be such an emphasized facet of a performer. Who cares what race she is? Unless you're planning to map her family tree I don't see what relevance it has. She seems like a lovely young girl whatever race or races she descends from.
