Don't understand how they can remove him from the company that he founded.

On the business side, I 've bought several things from MW over the last decade or two. But it seems they are moving to sell more things like designer jeans and 'clubbing' attire. Maybe the suit market is shrinking but they seem to be moving to a more casual branding. That could be what George didn't like.

I can understand that as more people are going to casual clothing. I hardly seen anyone wearing suits anymore.

Update, Men's Wearhouse: Why we fired Zimmer

Men's Wearhouse explained Tuesday why it fired executive chairman George Zimmer last week, depicting the founder as power-hungry in his desire to sell the company to private investors.
"Mr. Zimmer reversed his long-standing position against taking the company private by arguing for a sale of the Men's Wearhouse to an investment group," the company's board of directors wrote Tuesday in a statement it made public.
