I stopped watching Dave when he went to CBS, but I was a hug fan of his NBC show. To me, he lost his edge somewhere in the late 80's. I've watched here & there on CBS and the most unappealing part is the way he preaches his politics and his love for certain elected officials, or disdain for others. Johnny Carson would never have done that, nor would have Jay Leno for that matter.
I'm watching these last shows for old times sake. Man, where did the time go.
I'm watching Dave's last show now he is showing what made him funny at a talk show host we are laughing our butts off. We tuned out when he went through his bitter Dave years when he was just more mean than funny. I grew up watching him as our weatherman in Indiana. Thanks for the laughs Dave and the fun stunts you'd pull.
So what is on in this time slot between now, and when Colbert takes over in Sept?
