Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford? Who cares about these old fossils?
Memo: You know, guys, I'm aware that most of the producers are male so they like to promote the fallacy that men just don't lose it. Guess what? They're wrong! It's way past time to hang it up.
maybe they're just leery of the guys who are supposed to be taking over for them? Ryan Gosling?? Channing Tatum?? Remember when action stars were action stars??

I have to say....that's an excellect point, and one I (surprisingly ) hadn't thought of. Their does seem to be a dearth of true action stars these days.

That's one theory. I think it's more about there being a profit to be made rather than a men's club conspiracy. They'd be hung out to dry if people stopped buying tickets to their movies.
Idk if I've ever paid to see a Stallone movie, but plenty of people do.
I say bring on the old action heroes! Having grown up watching Stallone, Arnie, Van Damme, Lundgren and Chuck Norris it's great still seeing them in films. These guys are still in great shape and there is no reason for them to hang it up and go into infomercials.
They should make another American Ninja and another commando with Arnie. Arnie told me "he would kill me last"....Hope he was not lying. : )
