Wonder why old Jeff didn't get a vasectomy. Weird how he was that careful and conscientious as a young man but then slips up now. Then again, like a lot of childless older men, he might have been depressed about leaving nothing behind. Either way, it's irresponsible to have kids that old, he'll likely drop dead before the kid's out of school.

No fool like an old fool.

I guess his kid will be grown just in time to help with Goldblum's feedings at his old folks home.

Jeff Goldblum is 62? I thought he was older than that!

I don't understand why these oldsters want to reproduce, either, must make them feel young(er).

Sixty-two is not all that old. I myself am 61 and I don't have one foot in the grave. While it's only an average, according to this Actuarial Life Table for the year 2010 - Actuarial Life Table, an American male who is 62 years old can expect to live another 19.81 years.

On the other hand, anyone, of any age, can die at any time for some reason or other. Only God knows how long we have on this earth.

I for one have no problem with Mr. Goldblum becoming a father at 62 and again congratulate him and Mrs. Goldblum.

In this day and age, 61 is probably 'the new 40'. Of course, I'm female, so I couldn't breed at this point even if I wanted to, which I can assure you, I do not want to do.

I'll be 61 at the end of November this year. I ain't no spring chicken, but I do still have a few clucks left in me.

Have you read about some of the stories in which some old broilers, er, older women undergo treatments to give birth while they are my age and/or older?

I've never raised a child, I'm a bio-mom. I must admit that I can't help but wonder how many of these older parents would have the energy to chase around after a hyper toddler? Most of their get up and go might have got up and gone, especially as the toddler becomes older?

I still walk around and am active, but at 71, when kidlet is 10?

It's true one never knows when the end is coming. One of life's greatest mysteries. I have so far outlived both my parents by a few years. No siblings.

I'm very happy for them. He's a very vital, healthy 62 year old. I'm pretty sure I'D like to have Jeff Goldblum for a dad. He's crazy-smart, talented, funny, and seems to be an all-around good person.
