Yes, he was really great as Yeager in The Right Stuff.

From what I read he spent time with the actual Yeager and was really impressed with him. He told his New York friends all about him.

I always liked him. That is too bad. I ran into Scott Glen, who was also in "The Right Stuff", in Boulder, CO one day with his wife, and kid. Nice guy also.

Oh, that is just TOO sad! He was in so many great roles, but I think my favorite was as Noah's dad in "The Notebook".
