It’s awful. She waited 47 years to become a mom, so you’d think she would’ve been able to come up with some better baby names during all that time.

Great example of what NOT to name the baby.

I can't even think of any nicknames that are an improvement.: Raddy? Dixie? Raddish? Dix? Rad?

Well, "Dixie" would have been acceptable once, but those days are gone.

Maybe the little thing will choose to name herself once she's two and a half or three. Let's hope so.

Does this child have a middle name?

So true...

May be they're hoping for it to turn in to something more kid friendly later on, like "Rad"
Which is a word the younger kids think is 'cool'...

jmo

But by "later on", "Rad" will be passe, not cool.

It appears the parents were raddled, when it came to baby-naming.

Ranks up there with Moon Unit and Rumer.

What's with these celebrities? No thought went into this whatsoever.

Ego. "Look at me, I'm so u-neek!"

I had a non-celebrity friend who had a kid late in life with second wife. They named her LuLu and if it had been a boy, it would have been "Bongo." (They fancied themselves artistes, especially musicians, with some minor success in the field). Former hippie dips from the early '70s. He said, "We wanted the world to know we're still playful." I said, "If you wanted to appear playful, why didn't you change your names to LuLu and Bongo instead of a kid?" He was a bit abashed. "That ego is some tough stuff."

Sure is. They also adopted a Chinese girl and gave her nice and normal names. Guess ego only goes with the DNA.

Looks like they are going to call her Rad.

Rad Madden.

Cameron seems really happy, which is good.
