I'm glad I saw this article because the day of Michael's death I saw Joe Jackson going up some street with someone(Al Sharpton? Jesse Jackson?) and Joe Jackson was smiling and laughing like crazy! His son probably wasn't even cold yet! This article confirms that I did see what I saw.

Joe Jackson Dishonors Michael's legacy

MJ was nothing but a meal ticket to Joe, and unfortunately will continue to be so after his passing.

I saw him being interviewed on CNN on Sunday night, on the red carpet at the BET awards. I was disgusted with his comment about losing "the world's biggest superstar" instead of talking about losing his son. And then he was talking about his record label and he had his business partner with him.......ugh.

if Joe and Katharine both end up w/ custody of Micheal's kids, I really fear for the day little Paris or the other kids displays any signing skills in front of Joe. god, I can picture the dollar signs in his eyes already if that happened. we don't need to see these kids pushed into stardom the same way the previous generation was

I read an article that claimed Prince Michael I (the oldest boy) was going to perform with Michael in the UK concerts. So maybe Joe knows the kids have some musical talents and that's why he's trying to get control of the estate. I can't imagine having such a slimy dad. My dad actually loves and cares for ME an not what I can give him as far as money, fame or fortune (none of which I actually have).

From my understanding, Joe and Katherine live in different states...there's is a marriage of convenience.....so I doubt he'd be any threat.
I think Katherine stood up to him long ago.

Thank you all. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks Joe Jackson is a slimeball to the max.

I read earlier in the news today that a will has surfaced and that Joe Jackson is NOT named in the will. As far as the kids being with their grandmother, I think that is probably the best place for them right now, or perhaps with one of MJ's siblings. I think it's only fair that Michael's mother be given control of his estate. After all, she is his mother and I'm sure she's devastated that he's gone. Maybe Joe has mellowed out in his old age and won't harm those kids. It's such a tragedy.
