Why I won't be reading it. Note, I didn't write this, but it sums up succinctly why this author isn't the least bit credible. The thing that tipped me off was the release of the rehearsal video. If MJ was capable of that two days before he died, the claims made by Halperin of MJ being frail and bedridden, blind in one eye, and all that other stuff don't wash. Besides, all his sources are anonymous. And for an "investigative journalist" there is very little non-celebrity related work (and all the celeb stuff is unauthorized tabloid trash, much like I suspect this book is) available on the web about him. I call BS on Ian Halperin.
I agree with one of the posters over on the cited link. The Jackson family should sue IH. As far as MJ being gay, I don't believe that either. Why did authorities find only heterosexual literature in MJ's house when they searched for evidence during the trial? I think IH is a disgusting human being preying on a person who can no longer put up a defense. As one of the posters pointed out, IH was posting terrible things about MJ on his blog a few months ago. Now, he's done a turnabout when he sees he can make a buck.
Tigerlily: Far enough. I guess I never bothered reading all the nitty gritty details about the pedohile case since I never really believed he did it. Also the part about the hetrosexual "literature", whatever you want to call it, I'll call it porn made me raise an eyebrow as well.
I was wondering about the gay part too. I hope he wasnt', but, what about the pics IA found? Also, there's no way he could have done those 50 concerts. He was terrified of saying no. I think he did want to end it. Everything happens for a reason, but I wish this didn't. I cry almost everyday still. I've read every book on him. Have you read The Magic, the Madness, the Whole Story by Randy Tarraborelli? That is his best friend and he says that Michael and Lisa Marie had sex and Lisa said he's the best ever. I don't know which book to believe, but, both say he was NOT a pedophile...How bout the Appendix in IA book? What did that mean? Anyone please? Thanks so much
