puhleez--just look at his behavior--did you not know that a parent leads by example-----i have worked with dads like him---the kids r a mess especially when there is an immature inconsistant parent---please read toxic parents before you support the putz again

What I think you should do is look at Kate's behavior. What kind of example is she giving to her kids? Showing her daughters that they should be abusive of their husbands? Showing the sons that their mother is biased against males (as she shows by how she treats Jon and how she favors the little girls over the boys)? I don't support either one. I do blame Kate for many of the problems in the marriage, due to her nasty, uberbitch personality. Jon, on the other hand, is a punk, or a putz, as you say.
However, it is obvious that you paint Kate as a saint and Jon as a devil, and those designations are erroneous. You have an inexplicably slanted view of each parent, and your bias against Jon is obvious. Both parents are toxic; I don't need to read anything to understand that.
You don't need to know anything about their "marriage", it's pretty obvious what Jon was, is and remains.
Nice attempt at back-peddling ...you can't substantiate any of your "claims" so you deflect. Given your hard-core hate for Kate, I'd think you'd have a little more to back you up. Apparently not.
