Indeed. And since cocaine and meth (and some other drugs but mostly stimulants) often do precipitate cardiac arrest, it can be called a "heart attack".

IMO: I think she died for the same reason Karen Carpenter did.

She looked more healthier weight wise when she was in her early 20's.

That's kind of what I think, she has been too thin and boney in recent years. She was fun to watch in the movies.

Watch Nancy Grace tonight. She's going to push the 'drug abuse' angle.

As much as we should wait for all the fact to come out, I have a feeling that the conclusion is going to be a history of drug and (allegedly) alcohol use contributing to Brittany Murphy's death. Being clean for some time does not diminish the risk. To those that refused to believe in the correlation between drug use and increased risk of heart attack/cardiac arrest, just look at the long list of pro-wrestlers that died before the age of 45. Almost all of their deaths were linked to history of drug use (steroids, painkillers, pharmaceuticals and/or narcotics). Another high-profile example: Michael Jackson.

I loved her in 8 Mile, Uptown Girls, Sin City and Happy Feet. She was truly an underrated actress. Shame.

TMZ is reporting that her husband does not want an autopsy performed on her. He has apparently returned home and two LAPD were spotted there.
