Well, the S3 Eagle has landed. This afternoon.
It WILL take a bit of adjustment, particularly setting up apps and widgets.

But, this phone is smooth as silk and wicked fast....

Actually, after flip-flopping a little I ordered the S3 this evening, and I am having mild buyers remorse.
And I know that they are both great phones, so the choice isn't easy.

Which of those two would anyone choose, and why?
I would have chosen the HTC because of the radios, but I haven't heard much bad things about the S3. Is the S3 3g or 4g?

S3 is 3G/4G LTE, but Sprint has yet to roll out 4G LTE here. I did go out on a limb, as 4G LTE should start to appear in September. Raleigh area has been accelerated for deployment.

But, I do as much on WiFi as I do wireless.

I hope 4G LTE is worth the wait because the data on Sprint is slow, even 4G is slow and weak in some parts of Raleigh.

I hope so, too.
But, I had to bite on the latest thing.
The internal memory has so much more capacity than my EVO had.
And without a doubt, the battery life is much better.

I ran out of memory on my EVO. Can't wait to get the new EVO.

a removable battery is a must-have for me; i'm surprised the LTE went with a non-removable one, as every other HTC i've ever heard of had a removable battery..

I always thought I wanted a removable battery too, but it wasn't really important to me this time.
The battery life is so much better than the EVO 4G that I don't worry about it. I guess part of that is due to the habit the EVO created of keeping the phone on the charger.

One other thing to consider with removable non-removable batteries, is that he battery will degrade with time and if you want to keep your phone for more than 2 years, it will be an issue. I guess what is meant by "non-removable" is important, whether it is a couple screws or if the thing is soldered to the phone itself.
