The below is a relatively "high" (don't laugh) data download speed for Virgin Mobile
Test Date: Jan 20, 2013 1:16:48 pm
Connection Type: EvdoA
Server: New York City, NY

If you get Virgin Mobile, DO NOT get 3G !!!!! Don't say I didn't warn you before hand..

And if you get a 4G phone, make sure you have 4G access in your area:

Cell Phone Coverage - Check Cell Phone Coverage | Virgin Mobile

That said, $35/mo for their 4G (10Mbps max) is a very good deal but anything slower than that probably isn't worth the price.

Unfortunately, 4G is not an option where I am right now. UGH.

Ok, Plan B: T-mobile's $30/mo unlimited data 100 minute plan. I think T-mobile has more extensive 4G coverage than Virgin Mobile but they don't specifically tell if 4G is available in your area (check with them first.)

I'm curious about the $30/month T-mobile plan. Is this for specific regions only? I'm browsing their website right now, and the cheapest data plan I can find is "Unlimited - Plus" for $70/month (up to 2GB cap).

Monthly 4G Prepaid Plans | Compare Prepaid Data Plans | T-Mobile

that $30/month 5gig at 4G speed is for prepaid
you can buy it on internet only
and it's for new accounts only (new number )

I have this one for a year now , and no problems so far ( good coverage Tmo, I'm in urban area)
buy the sim online from their site ( was $1 at the time , $1.07 shipped )
activate account online , load 30 bucks and you good to go

Reading a lot of negative reviews... low battery life, older Android 2.0 / 2.3 seems a bit haggled and outdated; can't get Android 4.0 unless you are willing to spend over $200. Can't uninstall apps that you will not be using, which in turn just further bog down the phone.

I don't know, I'm at a lost.

However, they do have NOKIA LUMIA 710 with Windows, but its out of stock.

These three are all good choices if you have your phone unlocked. You can insert any SIM card you wish and get the service of any provider. Before I am with MetroPCS and it was really great. $40 a month, I get an unlimited talk, text, and data. What I do not like with MetroPCS is the signal coverage. I don't know if people have also experienced this one but this is based on my own personal experience. That is why I have decide to unlock my iPhone. A friend and I had a little help from attiphoneunlock.net to have our iDevices unlocked. She is a subscriber of Boost Mobile. It is $10 higher the cost than MetroPCS a month but it has a better coverage. I do not know for Virgin Mobile but as what I can read in the reviews and hear people talks, it offers the same as Boost except for except PTT.
