A friend of mine has a Samsung Galaxy 3 smartphone and was trying to use the alarm clock (mean have it ring) while her phone is in silent mode. Is this possible and if so how does she set the phone to do that?

I have the S3 and I don't care for the alarm clock that came with it.
I suggest:
Go to GOOG Play Store.
Search Apps for "Alarm Clock Xtreme Free." Yes, it is a free app.
Download it.
The Advanced Settings in that App allow you to permit the alarm to sound even when in silent mode.
And it is a very easy app to use.

Okay. I have written a message to my friend that asked me for this information. Thanks!
