I just noticed i can no longer use gmail or youtube inside the android phone browser.
I have to run the apps. Have you noticed that? It just started a few days ago.

This is a problem because if I'm looking at a web page and there's a youtube link, and I tap it, it won't start the Youtube app. It just goes to a blank page in youtube inside the browser.

Is this happening only if you have an old Android? I have Android before 4. I am using the stock browser.

There are also subtle changes to Google search results in the browser. Can no longer switch from regular results to News results.

Update: wait a minute!! I just tried everything again, and it went back to the way it was a few days ago.
I can't explain it.

Sometimes when problems manifest it takes a restart or a restore to get things right again. Glad it works for you again.

Bump. I just had the same thing happen to me, but this time it was because I accidentally unchecked Enable Javascript in my browser settings. I mentioned it in a new thread:

But in the February incident, I don't remember going to my browser settings at all.

Just clear all the cache memory and reboot your phone. I hope Gmail and youtube will work finely on your Android phone.
