I was wondering if you use instagram. How often do you use it compared to Facebook or other social media? Do you think it is an important app for communicating and sharing photos with others compared to other social media? What are the benefits of using instagram vs. Facebook/Twitter/Google+?

If Instagram is just for kids, why do all the major news networks have instagram accounts?

To answer the question: it is just a different social network. The slant is that it is all Photo based. You post and comment on photos. All original posts are photos. You can reply to them and share them, but everything is based on photos.
It's like an INSTAnt teleGRAM. Get it?

(For the record, Facebook bought Instagram 2 years or so ago...for a billion dollars...)

Old style telegrams were words not pictures. But I am wondering how common instagram vs. facebook or twitter usage.

Professional photographers use Instagram too, but is not the primary media they use for publishing their work.
