You know, this whole mess pretty much hand-delivered a huge portion of the android market to Google Pixel ... and those idiots made their phones "exclusively sold by Verizon."
The frustrating thing for those that like the Note line is that there really isn't another phone like the Note. I'm not really sure why. A stylus is not a proprietary patented invention of Samsung's. Anyone can build a phone around a fancy stylus ... but nobody but Samsung actually does it. So everything that is touted as a great alternative for the Note 7 ... isn't.
Looks like I'm either buying an LG V20 or waiting till next year.
For a limited time, Sprint will let you trade in your old smartphone for an LG V20, and receive up to $200 credit, plus a free pair of Bang & Olufsen H3 earphones (valued at $149).
Based on reviews on the V20, it looks like one of the easiest battery swapping processes ever -- while delivering military grade durability and all metal construction. My only complaint is no waterproofing and fewer folks will be making accessories for the V20 because LG is a smaller player in the mobile phone market.
Yep, posted that in it's own thread earlier today. Yesterday it was supposed to be temporary. Now it's they're stopping Note 7 production permanently.
Samsung really blew it! It was a great phone too! Sad to see a great phone ruined by bad business practices.
Should be interesting to see what they do to try to recover consumer confidence. Huge uphill battle there.
