No, but I know a lot about both. What are your concerns?

Nothing wrong with iPhone depending on your work flow. It works for a lot of people. Image processing is top notch and the iPhone has the best processor. They also have the whole augmented reality thing that no one is taking advantage of. Audio is superb. But you're going from best in class on iOS to best in class on Android, so you may not notice a difference there.

One thing you'll notice about Android is that a lot of things are easier to do. It will take you a while to get used to navigating Android's UI. And it will also take a while to get used to the customization. Everyone's Android UI is different.

Android also supports SD cards, so you can always upgrade your storage.

Are you doing this for the screen size? I know the iPhone Xs Max has a larger screen than the Note. Note has the stylus, which is something Apple is not supporting on their phones. Note can also be used as a PC when connected to a monitor. Depending on your needs you could use it that way and save money over time, whereas with an iPhone you would still need a PC, or a Mac, or Chromebook, or whatever. Android has it's advantages.

Some of us do, indeed, have money to burn 5150. Not a very helpful comment.

I've used Chromebooks for years, but I've never seen one that would fit into a pocket like a smartphone. Did you mean to post this comment in this thread?

Getting back onto the OP's topic, I made the switch in the opposite direction this year. Personally, I prefer the security and tight integration of the iPhone and I feel that those things are worth paying a bit more for a phone. I also have noticed over the years that Apple does more stringent checks on the apps in its App Store than Google does on the apps in the Play Store. When apps in the Play store breach peoples' privacy, the issues always seem to be more widespread and insidious than the breaches in the App Store.

You can certainly no question have these things on an Android. You never have to install a new messaging app or gallery app or a browser app or a SMS app. You can use them tightly integrated on your Android. The difference in Android's favor is if you want to step out of the box a bit and use Chrome or Pulse SMS or Signal
is that everything is still tightly integrated. Nothing works as well on iPhone as Safari. Nothing works as well as Imessage. All Apples default apps work better with the OS.
Apple is miles ahead on the privacy from > advantage Apple. Google tracks everything you buy with Google Pay. Apple does not. That alone had me thinking of switching to an iPhone. For a second. I love pay with my phone. Then I remembered I will never own a phone with an iOS so restricted that I can't line up my icons any way I want on any screen.

Tiny bit more. Samsung is up in those lofty prices here now.

exactly why i refuse apple. Got stuck with them for a year for work phone, was like holding a child phone was so small, compare to my S4 at the time. Jobs had this bad mind set of smaller phones fit in pockets better are better phones in general. Sad he gone ,but it did his company a favor. Now they invested in 5-6 inch screens for the first time, innovated NO, just bigger screen nothing new. I like open and custom my phones. Able to hook it up to any PC and not have to download other software just to see whats on the phone. Maybe the New X will deter some droid users, but its got to lose its propetory hold on design of the UI
