Found this out when one of the political parties called me today. Used my Call Blocker to block the area code. The 202 DC area code was the first to be blocked when I bought the Call Blocker. I can block up to 800 different area codes, so it's not a problem.

I came home today and looked at my phone. The political party was calling me from the 771 area code. The Call Blocker blocked it. I no longer donate; have not donated in years. My advice is to not donate to political parties. They won't leave you alone, and small donations are used up with endless mailings for additional donations. We need a Political Do Not Call list.
