Tracfone problem (opera, email, cell phone, convert)

Last November, I changed Tracfone services. The phone didn't have any trouble sending emails via text before a week or so ago.
Would anyone know why it no longer cooperates with text -> email when it worked before recently?

You can't send email without data on the phone.

I'm not exactly sure what that means, but it worked for the first 3 months

Text messages are sent over the air like a telephone call, but email can only be sent through an internet connection (cellular or wifi) but it can't be sent without data. You are mistaken.

Mistaken about what? That it worked before recently? Like I said, I've only been unable to get them to go through for the last week or so.

edited to add: I can still do other web stuff, including accessing my own email account.

You obviously have some type of internet connection if you sent emails or are reading them from your phone, simple as that. You CANNOT send a text and convert it to email. Two different things. I have been a cell phone rep for almost 8 years, I understand how the process works.

I'm not saying you don't understand it, I'm saying I'm not tech-savvy so I don't understand it.
I don't get why it worked before and now it doesn't, while nothing else has changed.

Tia 914......this may sound like a silly question but does the phone work for just regular phone calls?
