Teal, contact Central Square at Watermark in MP and see if they offer short term leases. Someone on this board told me it's possible they do, but I never looked into it since I really am anxious to get to the other side of town.

Thanks, Roxanne. Unfortunately, those are more rent than we can afford with also having to pay our mortgage until our house sells.

Roxanne......Thanks!!
I'll look back at some of your posts and see what price range your in. If I see anything decent I'll let you know.

I know the apartment complex by Wescott is very nice I ue to knwo the manager. It's on Dorchestor Road and my have a North charleston address but it is on the border of Summerville and I think it is very nice. I use to know the manager but I think she has moved since.

I am an apartment dweller in Mt. Pleasant. I would recommend several- Pace's Watch, The Thickett, Crickentree, Runnaway Bay to name a few. The schools are good in the Mt. Pleasant area. 2 bedroom apt. with 2 baths run between 800-1200 a month with The Thickett being the least expensive. All of the above have pools, green areas for pets, good landscaping and excellent maintenance. It is about 20 minutes to North Charleston from Mt. Pleasant via 526. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Lane. Husband has just informed me, though, that we won't be looking in Mt. P. for our rental.....more $$ than Goose Creek or Summerville, and the latter 2 places are closer to his job. We'll be focusing on GC and S'ville. So.....any Goose Creek or Summerville apt. dwellers....please post about your apt. complexes!! We leave here for our visit to the Charleston area on Tuesday morning and would like input on some complexes before we leave. Thanks in advance.

Teal - During our last 2 moves we had to do the short term deal. Stayed @ Coventry Green in GC, its located inside of Crowfield Plantation. We choose there cause we moved out of Crowfield, the apartments were small by our standards but nice and safe! No issues.
The other place is in GC too, Cobblestone Village. Again very nice, some units are only 1 yr old. Lots of military in there. Plenty of cops live there as well. Its a gated community, very nice place!
Both I listed are centrally located. Maybe someone will read your posts and realize that you are not moving to MTP and try and help you

Good luck! If you need more info on these, let me know!
