What are the best neighborhoods within 40 minutes of Boeing. Here is our criteria:

4 bedroom 2+ bath $160 - 200k
1700+ square ft.
.20+ acres
Built after 1980
Close to shopping and amenities
Low Crime area
Good resale

I've spent a few summers in Summerville and enjoyed living there (Old Trolley Road area), but I'm not as familiar with the other side of I-26 or elsewhere. I have a few "idea's" about some area's, but they may or may not be true. Thanks in advance for any advise.

My first thought is a good chunk of Summerville hits that to a tee.

Yes alot of Summerville will fit your needs, just be careful on the north side, you want to get above Sangaree or below I-26.....

Default Wescott Plantation

I've heard good things about Wescott Plantation, but I'm curious why it's so cheap? Seems like a nicer neighborhood than the price suggests. Are there bad parts of Wescott Plantation?

There aren't "bad" parts of Wescott Plantation per se. The Farm and The Woodlands have a very heavy inventory of non owner occupied homes many of which are tenant occupied. Sometimes if the HOA isn't real strict that can affect the integrity of the neighborhood. Also be aware that there aren't pool privledges for all the subsections. For instance The Woodlands, Ashley Ridge and Sand Pines. Many people have purchased homes in this community thinking everyone has use of a pool. I live in Wescott and am very familiar with the whole area.

Don't overlook new construction in those areas as well. Many builders have inventory homes, or homes close to completion that would fit your needs as well.
