Just a reminder to everyone that Verizon 4G is supposed to be started on July 21st. Hopefully, it will help with our weak signal in Cane Bay...but i don't think so. Anyway, for all of you streaming audio/video guys, you should see a significant upgrade in speeds.

Default Cell phone reception stinks

A bit off the topic but we moved here only to find out we couldn't get a signal in our home. We did get a reception booster but it still isn't that great. We have Att but my husband's verizon also has problems. Even outside my home I'll sometimes get "emergency calls only". I'm surprised that such a populated area has difficulties with cellphone reception. Sooooo frustrating.

Don't remind me

I have called Verizon Wireless several times and asked for a signal booster only to be told that I would have to pay hundreds of dollars for it. It's ridiculous...you claim to have service in Cane Bay, but you don't. And then you want customers to pay more to get slightly better service.

Kev, we were told the same thing when we called ATT (according to them we had to pay or sign another contract agreement). We did go into an ATT store this weekend and they were more than helpful. Go into your local ATT store and see what they can do for you. I'm always a little apprehensive to say how much an employee bent over backward for us but they did help us (this past weekend). No good deed goes unpunished is what make me weary to say too much.

The issue now is if anyone else comes into our home they can't get service. Also, when I talked to someone this week by cellphone it was still breaking up quite a bit. I can get online by phone and text without any issues. My teenager is happy that he can now text and not stand outside the house...lol. Considering we just relocated, it makes me happy that he can keep in touch with his friends from far away.
