Kind of along with the where's the beef thread, I recently read an article in the local paper about a fisherman who sells his fish directly from the boat to customers who have formed a kind of co-op. I've searched the papers and can't seem to bring it up. Are any of you familiar with the situation, or the article? I'm interested in checking this out, even though there was a wait to get on his list.

I know several of you sell seafood as well, and I have no desire to step on your business. We'll be looking you up as well

Thanks for that. It was a similar article but more current, say within the last 60 days. Thats why I'm puzzled at nothing turning up in the searches.

I first saw it on twitter, and linked to the article, but lost it.

How about this article:

Fish for the Future | Sustainable Business - Carolina Photosmith

It might be Captain Mark Marhefka you read about.

Hi! Just saw that you linked to my old blog post about Abundant Seafood. Funny, I was just at Shem Creek Saturday taking photos of the CSF pickup. Mark has been all over the news recently, from the New York Times to more regional publications like Garden & Gun and here in Charleston, Local Palate. They're working on a new web site, but you can find more about him on his Abundant Seafood Facebook page. Cheers!
