My co-workers have been of minimal help in this department, saying that the only skilled tattoo artists in a relatively close proximity are in Savannah. I'm willing to bet that someone out there has had luck with a shop/artist in Charleston. Anyone have a recommendation for me?

I have researched this, because I'm a tattoo snob I like what I'm seeing on the Holy City tattoo website. But I'm interested to see what people say too.
I have had really good luck at Neon Needle . I have 2 pieces from there. I'm very happy with them. Its on Red Bank Rd across from the naval weapons station. I have also heard that House of Ink in Summerville is good.
We have 2 friends, along with my husband and me, who have all had AMAZING experiences with Blu Gorilla downtown. Especially Margo, she's phenomenal. She's done both of my tattoos, plus hubby's 1.
