If you have an iphone or ipad, I think you can download a local scanner that way. I did it awhile back but haven't really used it. I can't recall the name of the app but I'm sure it is easily found by googling or doing an app search.

There are a bunch of these apps available for Android phones, too. Doing an app search on your phone brings them up.

Are you serious ?

Here in Canada, all of the Police radio frequencies are "scrambled " so no one can listen to them.

Including the "bad guys "

Same thing for all the EMS and Fire Services.

Guess we aren't so "back woods " after all ?

The UHF radios they use now are so complicated its hard to get a "scanner" to receive it.
