Looking for an easy in easy. Out spot for salt water to take my son. We have. Never fished for salt water fish before so a non advanced area would be great. We live in north Charleston.

Bushy Park might be a good place for your first time. We haven't had much luck catching fish but it is fun to watch the boats come in and the dock is pretty nice. We have better luck crabbing there, though.

Mount Pleasant pier anglers catching a good, mixed bag - South Carolina Sportsman

I'm not a fisherman, but these caught my eye. I have no connection with the Mt Pleasant pier either, but I went to an event there and they sold bottles of Malbec wine. I guess I feel a little connection now
