I need to buy either some road base or gravel for a brick driveway I'm building. This will be a small order - the area to be filled are two tracks, about 16 ft long x 27" wide x maybe 4-6 inches deep. As close to downtown as possible is great because that's where the driveway will be. Being open on weekends helps because I plan on building as much of this as possible this weekend while the weather is nice.

Would a landscaping place maybe have any?

What you are looking for is called crush and run, that is what they use for road/driveway beds. Need to look at construction material suppliers, paving companies, etc..

From the site Robynn provided..

No other info, but the guys at Lowcountry Mulch are really awesome, and their delivery charges for larger volumes are pretty darn good too.

I need only 1 cubic yard so my truck gets to do the delivery. Way out to highway 41 is a long drive for my tired old truck though so I may hunt around for somewhere a little closer to my place or where I'll need it. Never thought about landscape supply places though...

I've been too sick to build much this weekend - I picked up a nasty cold during Thanksgiving break but it's finally almost over.
