Have any of you been to their new location in North Charleston yet? I love Brazilian steakhouses, and I'm wondering if it's any good. We passed it on the way to Golden Corral (UGH, absolutely wasn't MY restaurant choice) and I'm kicking myself for not begging and pleading to try that place instead. I know they have two other locations upstate, but I've never been.
If you've never been to this type of steakhouse, there is usually a flat rate you pay, and then it's all you can eat. It's a great way to sample lots of different cuts and style of steaks. I assume they do like other Brazilian style steakhouses and carve at the table?
If anyone has gone or plans to go please let me know what you think. We were gonna go out fancy for my birthday next week, but I think I may choose them instead.
I have a friend who works for the visitors center. She got a pass for a dinner for two before they opened. She invited me.
It was interesting. The food was excellent the atmosphere left us both hoping that they would take some of the time they had left before they opened to tweak the atmosphere a bit.
Basically, a server comes and takes your drink order and tells you briefly about the salad bar and, if you need it, explains the green and red coaster thing. If you want meat, green side up. If not, red side up.
Waiters walk around with various cuts of various critters (cow, pig, chicken, lamb etc) cooked various ways and offer it to you if you have the green side up. If you accept the offer, they cut it in front of you. I was full for two days.
cool, thanks! Sounds exactly like what I was hoping for from a Brazilian Steakhouse. The building did look really drab when we drove by, but I can survive drab if I'm well fed. I usually avoid newly opened restaurants while they work out the kinks, but I just REALLY don't want to get dressed up for the date.
Here are the prices. It is expensive! $30.00 a person. After church on Sunday , it is $25.00 per person.
I have been to many brazilian churrascarias , in Brasil , and in the U.S.
There were two here in South Carolina in Myrtle Beach, that are very good.
This one will be very good , like was stated, it has two other locations.
Aprecia! Comida do Brasil Gostoso!
We jokingly refer to those Brazilian Steakhouses as Meat Restaurants. We've got several where I live - one is very high end and $30 is cheap - makes me wonder if they offer some of the higher end meats.
