There's always a question about Chinese/Asian food on the board so I thought I'd quickly post about the Noodle Bowl over on Sam Ritt.
Not overly expensive, although there is a "bit" of Charleston pricing...not the cheap stuff that you get in a real China Town.
The food is good.
For those interested, they have two menus. One is labeled "Authentic Chinese", and the food is different (read: better) than the standard Americanized food you get in many places.
This was our first trip. Ordered an app & entree off the authentic Chinese menu and one off the regular menu. Better than any other Asian/Chinese food we've had in this area. The authentic menu will most likely get our total order next time.
Another satisfying trip to the Noodle House (not Noodle "Bowl" as I incorrectly posted before).
Two LARGE entrees and a side of Singapore noodles (which is the size of an entree itself) for under $25. Had enough leftovers for another meal for two at home today. Not bad for the price. One of the better deals in town if you ask me. This isn't your typical General Tso's Chicken/Kung Pao Chicken joint. The authentic menu is awesome.
Technically the name is Riso Noodle House. It's on Sam Ritt in the strip mall where the Outback Steakhouse is located.
Just took a peek at their menu online - there's no mention of a 'Chinese' menu versus 'American' menu, and I didn't see pork intestines anywhere - do you have to ask for the Chinese menu?
Nope...it is a separate menu that comes to the table when you sit. It's not on the take-out menus we have either. The authentic menu is fairly short and may not appeal to to everyone's palate. All I can attest to is that we have thoroughly enjoyed it.
