I'm on a budget but still like to go out once in a while to have a few drinks at the bar. Most of the time I can't make happy hour either. Do $2 domestic beers or $6 domestic pitchers exist anywhere? Is the entire Charleston area that expensive to go out? Many of the bars I've visited, domestic beers are $3.50-$5.00 and up. I don't mind dive bars either.

I'm not from the area but I think I saw the Sand Dollar in Folly Beach has $1 Bud cans. I can't help with other places though. Sand Dollar | Folly Beach | Bar, Music Venue, Sports Bar | Bars + Clubs

There is supposed to be a bar downtown that has PBR at happy hour for $1, and $2 any other time.

Hey, folks concerned about $2 beer or $6 pitchers usually don't care about quality.

What about neighborhood bars? They might not be as expensive as downtown or "fancier" bars.
