My husband and I will be relocating to the Charleston area at the end of this summer and will need to rent a home before buying. We have a large dog and three cats and would like a single family home with a fenced back yard. Our budget allows for approximately $1200/month. I'm concerned about the possibility of finding a decent home for rent with our pets. Any advice ?

I'm going through the same thing and am having a terrible time finding something. I've been looking for over a month. We have 2 large dogs as well. If you find something, please share. Good luck!

Try bringfido, homeaway or VRBO - Sometimes they have both ST and LT rentals.

We have friends that are renting a house in Mt Pleasant. They have multiple dogs and cats and got their rental thru Seacoast Properties.

I never thought I would use Craigslist for anything, but we found a rental house that was happy to let our three cats and dog live with us. We made sure to leave the place in great shape to encourage him to rent to other pet owners also.
